His self sustaining fruit and honey farm is a hidden treasure of wildlife, Cape fynbos, shimmering fruit orchards and vineyards surrounded by mountains. His attention to detail ensures that he produces quality wines, honey and preserves with a unique and distinct aroma, flavour and character.

As a working holiday on this traditional South African fruit and wine farm, guests can enjoy the adventures and seasons of farming and living, harvesting of the fruit; making of one’s own wine, mampoer and preserves; wine tasting, beekeeping, hiking, swimming, mountain biking and fun tractor rides into the mountain with a bushbraai.

HANDS ON BEEKEEPING
It is a sweet morning/afternoon outing where one gets to walk in the footsteps of Farmer Redbeard, the bee-keeper, and practice the art of smoking the bees, retrieving and spinning out the honey. One's taste buds get to explore the different types of honey produced in this area, and which can be enjoyed on fresh homemade bread with tea or coffee on his ‘stoep’...

WINE TASTING EXPERIENCE

Taste Farmer Redbeard’s handcrafted wines in the vineyard in which they were produced, and listen to him tell you more about the art of viticulture and wine-making. Your mode of transport- a tractor! (snacks are included).

BUSHBRAAI AND TRACTOR RIDE
