Situated in northern KwaZulu Natal, the lodge sits on the banks of the enormous and impressive Lake Jozini - overlooking the dam wall. It has a wide range of facilities that cater to tour groups, weddings and conferences and offers easy access on excellent roads for people from both the Gauteng and the Durban areas.
The Mangwanani spa offers a range of spectacular treatments in the most relaxing of settings and their staff are drawn from the local Zulu community and trained in-house.
The lodge is particularly known for its excellent tiger fishing - one of the most exciting freshwater game fish. There are also a number of other activities to keep everyone happy. These include:
• boat cruises - perfect for evening sundowners
• hiking and birding trails
• game viewing - you can see four of the Big Five here along with loads of other animals
• scuba diving - the lodge is just an hour's drive from Sodwana Bay - one of South Africa's premier diving destinations.
