About Two Oceans Aquarium

Explore, experience and engage with the natural environment under the water. The Two Oceans Aquarium in the V&A Waterfront is not to be missed. This is not a place to see sea mammals performing tricks but local fish and sharks that are found in the two oceans that surround Cape Town. The main exhibits are the:
● Oceans of Contrast – the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean
● Penguin Exhibit (Daily at 11h30 and 14h30)
● The Kelp Forest
● The I& J Ocean Exhibit ( This is the perfect opportunity to engage with the staff when they are feeding the animals, plus there is a 10m long full tunnel where you can get eye-to-eye with the animals.

Apart from exploring the exhibitions there is plenty to experience:
● Take a marine eco-tour which includes a boat trip and a visit to the Aquarium
● Encounter penguins up close and watch them being fed. The Rockhoppers love sitting in laps
● Touch marine animals and algae in the Touch Pool
● Dive with large shoals of predators including ragged-tooth sharks

Shop for curios, have a bite to eat in the restaurant and let the kids explore the Play Centre which offers activities and puppet shows daily.

It is worthwhile planning before you go. Go online and plan your trip to ensure you explore all exhibits, catch a feeding time or two, watch a puppet shows and get a meal or snack. Diving should be booked in advance (Not qualified? not a problem - enquire onsite about their Discover Scuba Course)
