Lourensford Estate, founded in 1700 creates wines that are well-recognised icons of true style and sophistication. Today it boasts one of the most technologically advanced cellars in the Southern Hemisphere, making use of gravity flow to enhance the winemaking process. This feature is available to the public for viewing by appointment.

Other than the winery and the tasting the estate includes a Montessori School, Art Gallery, Coffee Roastery, Frans Groenewald Art Studio, a Cheesery and Africapass (a tour operator).
