Why go?

Whilst the little town does have its own golf club, there is little else in the way of tourist attractions. Pretty tree-studded farms, with veld as far as the eye can see allow one to unwind and just relax. This is the perfect area for hikes and 4X4 trails and, if that’s not of interest, why not do the industrial and agricultural tours to local farms and mines.

Wild flowers in and around Blinkpan are one of the highlights, particularly the local cycad which is indigenous to the region. The local Ndebele people’s influence is evident throughout the area with their bright colourful painted houses and huts. Their renowned beadwork and crafts are available at a number of cultural villages in the region.
