The second largest settlement on the island; the town was originally two separate communities, Beau Bassin and Rose Hill, but these have now merged into one, as a consequence of the rapidly increasing island population.

The busy high street swarms with shoppers during the day and is worth a visit if you’re ready to brave the crowds and look fors ome great bargains.
