The small town of Augrabies and Marshand lie on the banks of the Orange River and are surrounded by lush green vineyards. The towns are mostly populated by workers on the vineyards. This area is home to the famous Augrabies Falls which is a large waterfall that thunders into the gorge - it's not called 'Place of Great Noise' for no reason.
