Groblersdal got a spot on the map because of the irrigation scheme of the enormous Loskop Dam which is about 35km's away.
Due to its location, this attractive farming town is South Africa’s second largest irrigation settlement producing cotton, tobacco, table grapes, citrus fruit, maize, wheat, vegetables, sunflower seeds, peanuts, peaches and lucerne - which play a very important role in the country’s economy.
