The small town of Katima Mulilo lies on the southern banks of the Zambezi river , and is the commercial centre of the East Caprivi region with about 20 000 inhabitants. The border post near Wanella lies 4 km north of Katima Mulilo. On the Zambia side it is called Sesheke.
