Stretching the width of the country of Namibia, the Hardap region with Mariental as its capital, is situated in the southern parts of the country with the Atlantic Ocean on its Western border and the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.

Although not a popular tourist destination, the Hardap Recreational Park, the Nauklift Mountain Zebra Park and the Namib Nature Reserve offer wonderful wildlife sightings.
